Recommended In Bed 7-Way Connector for 2023 GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 Trucks

Question:

I am getting a 2023 GMC Sierra. It does not have the factory prep package but I am needing to add a 7-way harness to the bed of my truck. I plan on using it to make hooking up to my gooseneck trailer easier and I am considering getting a 5th wheel trailer down the road so I want to be prepared.

To make towing with a gooseneck trailer or 5th wheel easier, I recommend adding the Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness item # DM8555002. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your Sierra and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your trailer easier and more convenient.

This wiring harness fits both the 2500 and 3500 GMC Sierra's. This is the same type of connector and set up that comes with the GM factory towing prep package.
