I think I know the answer to this but Ill ask anyway - Will a 5th wheel hitch that plugs in to the Ford OEM puck system fit on a 14 Ram OEM puck system? I recall the Ford system is the Reece Elite. I havent found much on the Ram, but looking at hitches it appears from what I can see the latches dont work the same on the same hitch for the 2 different trucks. Reason for the question is I have a buddy with a BandW companion hitch that works with the Ford system that were trying to find if its compatible with another buddys Ram. The guy with the hitch says it should work on the Ram, but I am not so sure after digging a bit...

Ford's OEM puck system has the same spacing as the Reese Elite but the RAM OEM puck system spacing is going to be different, making the hitch incompatible. That being said you can just swap out the base with the RAM puck option # BWRVB3600 instead of having to purchase an entirely new hitch. The base is still a majority of the cost but it's less of a blow to the wallet then a completely new base and head.
The spacing for RAM puck systems is 39-1/8" x 30-1/2" and the Ford puck spacing is 30" x 13".
