Question:
I have a 2010 f150 with factory 7 pin installed. Does using this inline brake controller prevent charging the trailer battery?

Expert Reply:
Using the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller item # C51180 does not affect your F-150's 7-way's ability to charge your trailer's battery.
The Echo is a proportional brake controller that slows or stops your trailer when your F-150 decelerates. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone so you will never have to worry about losing signal. If your phone dies it automatically uses the default settings you program in.
If you like the reassurance of a manual override button you will want the Manual Override Button for Curt Echo Brake Controller item # C83HR. You can mount it wherever you want it inside your vehicle.
