Ive seen someone on youtube replaced chains and turnbuckles with fastgun lockdowns is this recommended?

No, replacing the chains and turnbuckles on the TorkLift Cannon Hitch Extension # TLE1648 is not recommended. And in the event you are trailer towing it would technically be illegal. The chains and turnbuckles are not open like the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK which will not be able to safely support a disconnected trailer. Since safety chains are required by law for trailers using a ball connection installing the turnbuckles removes the safety chains from connecting to your tow vehicle and no longer safe.
