Question:

I have 2023 GMC Sierra SLT 3500 SRW Standard Short Bed and a 2023 Alliance Paradigm 310rl with the Curt Rotoflex pin box. I measures the distance from the center of the Gooseball receiver to the front of the truck bed at 45” and additional 1.5” to the back of the cab. So distance to cab is 46.5”. The fifth wheel is 101” wide. Using the formula I found on another question response, 46.5 - 50.5 = -4. But with the 5” offset from the Curt CrossWing of 5” the calculation would change to 51.5 - 50.5 = +1. With the rounded nose of the Alliance Paradigm front cap, would this allow enough clearance or in your opinion is it too close for comfort. I’d like to be able to remove the hitch from the truck bed myself, and this hitch with the Curt rails #C88KR would allow me to do just that. I am a big fan of the B and W Companion Slider, but I don’t think I can lift the base by myself in my younger days it would have been no problem. Please advise.

With the amount of clearance you have and the fact your 2023 Alliance Paradigm 310RL has a rounded and tapered nose the Curt Crosswing part # C86JR would work well without any clearance issues. To use with the OEM prep package of your 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 short bed you would need the rail kit adapter part # C88KR and you'd be set.
