Question:

Wanting to replace a 10 Gal Atwood 94021 water heater with a tankless. What are the different options available that fit. Opening is 17.5inch x 17.5, but I dont know the depth. 2007 Alfa See-Ya Founder 1010

With your opening being as large as it is you'll definitely want the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater 18" x 18" Door # FR68SR. All newer units are going to be smaller so you will need to build some framing for the new unit to mount to and I'd also put a thin sheet of plywood to fill in the gap with the 18" x 18" door to cover everything up.

I recommend using some butyl tape # AL28FJ along the mounting flange of the door and some non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 around it to prevent any water from getting in. I've attached a video below where Dave will help walk you through the installation process.
