Question:
Hi I am wanting to change out my existing 15 inch tire to a 16 inch tire. I currently have a tire size of ST205/90D15, are the ST235/80R16 tire close in size?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The ST235/80R16 has an outer diameter of 30.9 inches whereas the ST205/90D15 has a diameter of 29.5 inches so the diameters are pretty close. They would be close enough that there would be no issue going from one size to the other. For that you could use the part # LHACK133 for this size mounted on a wheel with a 8 lug bolt pattern or part # TA59VR for a 6 lug bolt pattern.
Worth mentioning is that the tire size you have now isn't a standard trailer tire size and it's not recommended to run vehicle tires on a trailer.
