Updated 10/24/2022 | Published 10/23/2022

Question:

I found out from another website mine doesnt have a temperature control. is there a replacement that does. My daughter just scalded herself when the cold water ran out but there was still hot water in the hot water heater. Thank you,

Water heaters have dropped down in width a bit since the G6A-7E so you will need to make some modifications to the opening for the water heater. That being said the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR68SR would be a perfect replacement option.

It is a tankless design with a Vortex system that mixes hot and cold water to eliminate fluctuations and reduce the risk of hot water scalding. The wall thermostat will allow you to set your water temperature to a specific degree as well.

Like I said before, this water heater is a bit smaller so you will need to fill in the gap a bit. You can do this with some wood and then cover the entire gap using the included 18" x 18" door. I do recommend using some butyl tape # AL28FJ and some non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 to ensure a waterproof seal.
