Question:
wondering if this is a typo but also semi new to trailering but was wondering why/how does the Torklift have a higher rated GTW then the Curt but the Curt somehow beats the Torklift in Maximum tongue weight? with and without weight distribution? thanks for your time

Helpful Expert Reply:
The weight ratings of the Curt hitch part # C15325 are pretty interesting as the total trailer weight is 16k but the tongue weight rating is 2,400 lbs. Normally the tongue weight is 10% of the total trailer weight which matches better with the Torklift # TLC1201 which has a 17k trailer capacity and 1,700 lb tongue weight capacity. The numbers are accurate and it's definitely unique so it's a good question.
