Is There Still a Voltage/Amperage Issue with the MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent

Question:
Has the MaxxAir voltage issue been corrected yet? Getting ready to install a pair of fans, but would rather not have to spend additional money on a voltage regulator.

Expert Reply:
I spoke with MaxxAir about the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent part # MA00-07500K and they told me they were aware of the amp lockout issue and have since updated the circuit board to prevent this. The change was made in January of 2022 so any fan with a serial number that starts with 22 will have the new updated board. If you receive an old one with serial number that starts with 20 or 21 for example, you'll need to reach out to MaxxAir for a new circuit board.
