What Harness is Needed to Install a Trailer Brake Controller on a 2022 GMC Canyon

Question:
I have a 2022 GMC Canyon. It is wired for A 4-plug and a 7 pin connector, it has the trailer options and towing option,, BUT NO brake controller...........I would like to install a curt 51170 controller. what other wiring harnesses do I need? OnLine Instructions for the 51170, Any with Canyon information?

I do have an option for you but hardwired trailer brake controllers aren't ideal for a 2022 GMC Canyon as they will require you to splice into the vehicle and run wires throughout. I highly recommend going with the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 instead since it just plugs into the trailer connector and you're done.
