Question:
will the echo wireless brake control work on a 2019 ford ranger that did not come with a tow package, it does not have the wiring in the truck to hook up a regular brake controler, dealer wont even hook one up because of this, i did install my own 7 pin plug . so iam wondering if the echo will only work if the vehicle from factory came with the tow package. any info greatly appreciated

The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 will work on your 2019 Ford Ranger as long as your trailer brake lights and charge line on your 7-way connector are working properly. This is how the Echo operates. It takes power from the charge line and detects when the brakes are used through the trailer wiring and then sends the appropriate power based on the settings into the brake line circuit.
