Question:
Hi team, I was recently gifted a round bar WD setup for 10k/1k and and going to be pulling a travel trailer that weighs 3500lbs. Would it make sense to switch the spring bars for the 500-600lb rated ones are are they still too stiff for this setup? Im pulling with a new 4 door Bronco Badlands. Thanks!

Expert Reply:
The spring bars you'll need to use will depend partly on your total tongue weight, as well as the weight capacity of the bars.
If your tongue weight is somewhere in the 500-600-lb range, then the better option would be the Replacement Spring Bar for Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17071 like you mentioned.
However if the tongue weight range is in the range of 800-1,000-lbs then the:
-Replacement Spring Bar for Curt MV Weight Distribution System # C17073 like the ones currently on your WDS will work fine.
If you aren't sure of what your tongue weight is, then you can use a tongue weight scale like # e99044.
