Will I Have Reduced Clearance With Goose Box and 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 Short Bed

Question:

hello , I have a 2022 GMC 3500 Denali crew cab short box . we bought a 2022 jayco north point 377rlbh 5th wheel . i want to put the reese goose box 2nd gen on the 5th wheel . but dont know if it will work for turning . i like that it gives me my bed back and have watched the reviews . but nothing on the reviews for short box trucks . can you help?

The Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter # RP85FR will work for your 2022 GMC Sierra 3500 short bed but you will see some reduced turning clearance. One of our customers stated they had to lower the pressure in the air bags on their truck to help promote better turning clearance.

If you don't currently have a hitch installed on your Sierra then I recommend using the B&W Turnoverball # BWGNRK1020 which not only looks clean and is super durable, but it also gives you the opportunity to use the 4" Offset Ball # BWGNXA4085 to help with that turning clearance as well.

I also recommend picking up the Curt # C56000 wiring if you don't already have a 7-Way in your truck bed. This kit makes it easier to connect and disconnect the wiring from your trailer.
