Question:
What is the distance from center of ballot center of spring bar tongue brackets?

Expert Reply:
When the Curt weight distribution # C17050 is installed so that the chains are perpendicular to the trailer frame, the lift brackets should be installed so they're centered right at 30 inches rearward from the trailer ball when the trailer's hitched up. The lift brackets are 4 inches wide (they take up 4 inches of space on the trailer A-frame), so the leading edge of the bracket would sit at about 28 inches rearward of the ball center and the trailing edge of the bracket would sit at about 32 inches rearward of the trailer ball center.
