Good morning I want to hook up a 7 pin round connector to my 2017 Hyundai Santa fe but just want to connect the light right now but want to the option of trailer brakes latter my currant trailer has the round connector and I dont want to us adapter what do i need i bouth the hitch from you a couple years ago love the hithcv

If you already have a 4-Way flat connector like the T-One # 118269 installed on your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe then I recommend picking up the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 which comes with everything you need for a fully-functioning 7-Way. This means that you can just connect the functions that you need for now but then when you want to add the brake controller further on down the road you already have everything right there.
If you want ONLY the 4-Way/7-Way connector then the Hopkins # 37185 is more cost effective and gives you what you're needing.
I also recommend picking up the No-Drill Mount Bracket # C57202 to make it easier to connect your wiring to your hitch receiver.
For a future brake controller I recommend the Curt Echo Under-Dash Wireless Brake Controller # C27JR which connects to the ETBC7 wiring kit using the Pigtail # C51515. The settings on this controller are adjusted via an app on your phone and then you can use the manual override in the app or use the Override Button # C83HR to have a physical button to press.
