Will my exhaust melt the rubber on Rock Tamers? My exhaust is under my rear bumper on both sides. Thank you

The Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty Adjustable Mud Flap Systems, like part # ERT00108 for 2" hitches, will melt if the exhaust is pointing right at them. Because of this Rock Tamers came out with their Heat Shield # RT76FR which you can add to protect the rubber and prevent the exhaust from burning a hole through it.
