I bought a blue ox sway system from a friend. The bars have 4 dimples but I don’t know what that means

I would be happy to explain what the dimples mean on your Blue Ox Weight Distribution Hitch. The Blue Ox Hitch # BXW1500 all use the same head when it comes to towing the trailer. The bars are used to determine what the capacity of the system is.
If the system has:
No Dimples - The bars are rated up to 350 pounds total tongue weight
One Dimple - The bars are rated up to 550 pounds total tongue weight
Two Dimples - The bars are rated up to 750 pounds total tongue weight
Three Dimples - The bars are rated up to 1,000 pounds total tongue weight
Four Dimples - The bars are rated up to 1,500 pounds total tongue weight
Five Dimples - The bars are rated up to 2,000 pounds total tongue weight
Since your system has 4 dimples it can tow up to 1,500 pounds of total tongue weight. The replacement bars # BXW4008 will fit your system.
