Unfortunately due to the different body styles of the 2006 Volvo S40 and the 2021 Honda CR-V, there is not 1 trunk bike rack that will fit both vehicles.

You could use the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier # TH911XT for your 2006 Volvo S40 and the Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack # Y02638 for your 2021 Honda CR-V.

Another option would be to use a hitch mounted bike rack. The Thule Helium Pro 3 Bike Rack # TH9043PRO will carry 3 bikes and is compatible with 1-1/4" hitches like what would be on your 2006 Volvo S40 and 2" hitches which would be the most likely hitch size for your 2021 Honda CR-V. You would then only have 1 rack for both vehicles. I have included a hitch that fits your 2006 Volvo S40 and a hitch that fits your 2021 Honda CR-V below.

While it does potentially require the purchase of trailer hitches if your vehicles do not already have them, I personally prefer the hitch mounted bike rack option. This allows you to use the same rack for both vehicles, it will have an easier installation each time making it easier to switch between vehicles and I find hitch racks to be a little more sturdy than trunk mounted options.
