Question:

I have a 2020 Hyundai Palisade SEL AWD. I am planning to order the e95ZR hitch and the associated 4-pole wiring harness. Watching the mounting video I sensed some concern in determining which ball mount to order. I am planning to haul an occasional piece of yard equipment such as a hydraulic log splitter or a small to medium, U-Haul style cargo trailer from time to time. Any recommendations regarding dimensions?

The etrailer Trailer Hitch # e95ZR and Curt Wiring # CU94FR are a great start to a towing setup for your 2020 Hyundai Palisade.

When we installed the hitch on a 2020 Palisade we found the hitch height (from the ground to the top inside of the receiver) to measure 13-1/4". Standard trailer couplers will sit somewhere between 16" - 18" but since you're looking at also towing a hydraulic splitter your best bet would be to get an adjustable ball mount so you can make sure you get the correct height 100% of the time.

The B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10048B is what I recommend picking up because it has the 3 common hitch ball sizes as well as the ability to adjust for a 5" drop or a 5-1/2" rise. This will be the last ball mount that you have to purchase so I also recommend securing your investment with the Locking Pin # 34061075-D.
