Expert Reply:
The Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2,000-pound Axles # AKIHUB-440-2-1K has a hub bore of 1.988 inches, so you will need The Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980T-SS.
The bearing buddies are constructed of stainless steel and will fit a 1.98 hub bore. Using the bearing buddy will keep water and dirt out of hubs and bearings. They have an easy installation.
