Can Rocker Switch Replace Magnet for RV Steps Extension Function

Question:

Can I use this step with a manual switch wired to the inside of my RV door instead of the automatic magnetic switch?

Helpful Expert Reply:

Yes, you can use the Center Rocker Switch # LC371010 in place of the magnet that comes with the Lippert Electric Tread Lite Step for RVs # LC353543 - you'll just wire the rocker switch directly to the motor like you see in the attached photo.

For the extra wiring you'll need 10 Gauge Wire # 10-2-1 and Butt Connectors # DW05745-10.
