Hello - I am looking for assistance in finding the correct roof bike rack set up for my 2023 Mini Cooper S Coupe. The car has factory installed roof rails. I will be transporting 20inch BMX bike or 26in Slopestyle MTB. I preferably would like the rack to be interchangeable with the two bikes.

For a roof bike rack for your 2023 Mini Cooper S Coupe I recommend the Thule ProRide XT Roof Bike Rack # TH598004. This is a frame-mount carrier that features an easy-to-load design. The padded clamp holds your bike by the downtube and also has a torque-limiting dial to prevent any damage to the frame.

The bike rack fits 18" - 36" crossbar spreads so you will need to make sure that matches what you have on your vehicle. The minimum wheel diameter is 20" with a maximum diameter of 29". This will work well with both of your bikes as long as the maximum wheelbase does not exceed 47-1/4". This is also compatible with the Thule One-Key System # TH450200 if you want to keep your rack and bikes secure.

If you only have rails and need crossbars I have two different roof rack options for you. One uses the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars which would require the following parts:

The other uses the Thule WingBar Edge Crossbars and would require the following:

The only real difference is the style of crossbars and whether or not you want them sticking out on your Mini Cooper. If you wanted to add locks to the roof rack along with the bike rack then you would want the # TH450600 which comes with 6 lock cores.
