Question:
We are trying to replace a Kenda tire for a hand held boat dolly. The tire says 4.80-4.00-8. The tire is about 13 in diameter, the axle hole is 2.5 and the casing/hard part inside the rubber part of the tire is just shy of 9 and the tire itself is about 3.5 at the width. We need two tires. Can you help us? Thanks!

Expert Reply:
4.80/4.00-8 tires like the ones you have fit 8" x 3-3/4" rims so any replacement tire that is the same size should fit your wheel. You should be able to use the Kenda K371 Bias Trailer Tire - 4.80/4.00-8 # AM10004. The only concern would be clearance depending on the design since this has some larger measurements, but more than likely that will not be an issue if it is like your typical dolly.
This tire has an outer diameter of 16.1" when inflated and a section width of 4.7". These also come with a 5-year limited warranty and a 1-year worry-free guarantee. If within the first 12 months the tire is damaged in any way, it will be replaced at no charge.
