Troubleshooting A Stromberg Carlson Jack That Will Retract But Not Extend

Question:

The trailer jack will go down but it does not come back up. It has power so that is not the issue

I recommend first ensuring that your ground is good as the ground is typically the number one issue when it comes to wiring issues. From there the next thing to check would be the switch, as this part is usually the first to go out.

We don't currently have a replacement switch for the Stromberg Carlson Electric Trailer Jack # SC63VR so if this was the cause (which I'm definitely leaning towards) then you would have to reach out to the manufacturer or completely replace the jack itself.
