Is it best to use bolts,nuts and washers . Or lag bolts and washers ? On either what size is recommended?

The correct screw/bolt size for the Erickson ATV E-Track Tie-Down Kit # EM98CV is 1/4". The best hardware will depend on your exact application and the material and thickness you're attaching these too. If your mounting surface is no more than 2" thick I would consider using the etrailer E-Track Backing Plates w/ Hardware # e66RR to keep your wheel chocks secure.
