Question:
I purchased a 2022 F150 2.7 and was told it can pull a camper up to 7700 lbs. after further investigation it appears it can’t because it only has a 6 pin connection and no brake assist. Can a brake assist system be added ?

By brake assist, I believe what you are referencing is a trailer brake controller, and yes you can add one to your 2022 Ford F-150. You mentioned 6-pin but I'm virtually certain you actually have a 7-way, which has 6 pins in a circle, and another in the middle. So long as you have that, the brake controller that will work for you is from Curt:
- Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180
The Echo # C51180 will simply plug into the 7-way on the back of your F-150 with no additional wiring necessary, and is controlled with an app on your smartphone.
