Question:
HI! I have a 1967 VW double cab truck that we have installed a 1 1/4 inch hitch with Euro style 1 7/8 ball mount. We used 1 1/4 inch solid round stock but I need to have it extended approx 8-10, to clear the engine lid and raised 6. see pics Eriba Puck trailer weighs approx 800 LBS and tongue weight, Im not sure but maybe 200-300. Can I switch to a square D-26 for the extra length and rise that I need? Will the extra length be an issue? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The Ball Mount 3/4" Rise or 2" Drop, Extra Long # D-26 is for a 2" receiver so it physically won't fit your 1-1/4" receiver so instead you'll want to look at something like the Curt Class II Drawbar - 5" Rise - 11-5/8" Long - 3,500 lbs # C45015 which gets you within 1" of the rise you mentioned.
You can then add a hitch ball like the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set # 800B which gives you the ability to tow a trailer with either a 1-7/8" or 2" hitch ball.
Attached are some review videos for you to check out as well as a link to a ball mount article for you to reference.
