What is the Weight Capacity of the Thule Bike Adapter Bar TH982XT

what is the maximum load for the adaptor....I have a battery assist womens bike that weighs 35lbs without the batteries....

I spoke with my contact at Thule and found that the adapter bar # TH982XT has a 35 pound capacity. If your bike is right at 35 pounds it would be a good idea to reduce the weight somehow if at all possible. Other adapter bars are rated lower so the Thule model is the best option. You will also need to make sure your bike rack is rated high enough for the bike. Most racks have a total capacity and a single bike capacity. If you can tell me the rack you have I might be able to determine the single bike capacity. I have included a link to a video review of the adapter for you.
