Do I Need Wider Crossbars for Accessories and a Roof Top Tent on a Yakima Ladder Rack?

Question:

I am ordering the Yakima Overhaul 60" and the Yakima Road Shower. I eventually will put an iKamper Skycamp 3.0 mini atop the rack. Will the 60" top bar be long (wide) enough to support the RTT and the Road Shower and possibly an awning or would you recommend going with the 68" bar?

I highly recommend using the 68" crossbar version of the Yakima Overhaul Ladder rack item # Y01151-58 with a iKamper Skycamp 3.0 Mini Roof Top Tent. The dimensions of that tent are 55.1 x 57.5 x 13.0" which will not give you enough room on either side for the 10 Gallon Yakima RoadShower item # Y29VR.

We also have 7 Gallon item # Y89VR and a 4 Gallon item # Y79VR option.

I recommend using the FlexHead Shower Head item # Y04104 so you don't have to shower with a garden hose attachment.

For a compatible awning you will want the Yakima SlimShady Awning item # Y36VR.
