Question:

2019 Ram 3500 DRW. Wanting to tow various trailers 5th wheel, gooseneck, travel trailer, utility trailer, car hauler, etc. Im looking to buy a trailer brake controller. Which one do you recommend and why? There are so many offerings that its confusing. Please help!

I recommend using the Curt Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller # C27JR with the Custom Wiring Adapter # C51458 that fits directly to the OEM wiring under the driver's side dash of your 2019 Ram 3500.

I like this option because you adjust the settings and use the manual override to control your brakes with an app on your smart phone. The main body of the controller can be mounted up under your dash so it isn't visible and you won't be knocking your knees on it while driving. You can also configure some pre-set settings to make it quicker to get the exact braking you want for your variety of trailering needs.

If you want to be able to operate the manual override using a physical push button you can also pick up part # C83HR. This means you'll make your adjustments using the phone app and then you don't have to think about the trailer braking unless you need to press that override button.
