I currently have the Curt Trutrack Weight Distribution System - 8,000 Lbs but bought a new truck with a lift and need the that the equalizer offers. Would the Curt head adapt to the equalizer shank?

Yes, The head of The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17499 will work with The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Shank # EQ34FR.
The shank has a 12 inch drop and is constructed of sturdy steel which is dipped for corrosion resistance. The maximum tongue weight of the shank is 1,600 pounds and has a maximum gross towing weight up to 16,000 pounds.
