Why Is My Peterson Turn Signal Switch Not Working?
Question:
I have installed new turn signal lights F/R on Polaris Side-by-side. I dont have the lights hooked to orginal Tail lights, I put new additional Turn signal lights all the way around. Using the wiring diagram for the Peterson 500, but lights do not work. Red- front right light/ Green- front light/ Black- right rear light/ Gray- left rear lightblue and yellow to 2 prong flasher to fuse and power supply/ black gray to brake switch on master cylinder lights still dont work, need help. Can I not hookup the grayblack wire since I am not using it for brake lights?

I spoke with Peterson, and they informed me your lights may not be working because you are going to need to use a 3 prong flasher with your:
-Turn Signal Switch for Peterson Combination Stop and Turn Signal Lights # PM500.
Additionally, if you are using LEDs you are going to need the 5000 series flasher, but with these being vehicle specific we do not carry these, though you should be able to source these at your local auto parts store.
I did also ask about not hooking up the black/grey wires, and they said that this product was designed to work exactly as the diagram states, meaning you are going to need to hook those wires up.
