Question:
I have a 2020 Jayco Precept 29V motorhome and a 2020 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid car with cruise control. Any suggestions on the proper tow bar and setting up brake and lights? Thanks

I can definitely help you out with that. In addition to the tow bar, brakes and lights, you will also need a base plate kit and safety cables. I have listed these parts out for you below, along with a brief description of their purpose.
Base Plate Kit: This is a custom fit part that provides the attachment point for the tow bar on your MKZ Hybrid.
- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX2674
Tow Bar: This is what will come from the motor home and attach to the base plate kit.
- Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380 (compatible with the above base plate kit) this tow bar also includes the safety cables, so you will not need to pick them up separately.
Tow Bar Lights: This allows you to connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your towed car.
- Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-152-98146-7
Supplemental Braking System: Allows you to safely travel with and stop your MKZ Hybrid while flat towing.
- Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR
- Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 is required to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV.
You may also need a high-low adapter to keep your tow set-up level. I have included a help article that goes over how to determine if an adapter is needed and which one. I have linked our selection of high-low adapters so you can select the correct one, if one is needed.
You will also want to consult the owners manual of your 2020 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid to ensure you are doing everything that is recommended/required for flat towing.
