Question:
I purchased a 2019 Forest River Georgetown GT3 motorhome and would like to mount a motorcycle carrier on the receiver hitch. My concern is the combined weight of the carrier and cycle slightly exceeding the tongue weight of the hitch that came with the RV. The hitch is rated for 5000lbs with a tongue weight of 500lbs which sounds like a Class 3 hitch. The carrier is less than 100 lbs the wet weight of the motorcycle is approx 472lbs. Can I beef up the current hitch or should I just go with a class 4 hitch? The carrier is rated for a 600lb motorcycle. Thanks for your input!

As far as mounting your 472-pound motorcycle along with the 52-pound Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033 on your hitch rated for 500-pound hitch, you should definitely upgrade the hitch. This is because it is extremely dangerous to exceed the rated weight capacity of your hitch.
While we do have a great option for you, the only Class IV universal hitch we carry is specifically constructed to be used with service vehicles. That is the Buyers Products # 3371801053. For an option that comes with brackets made for RVs, we do have the Curt Class V # 15901. I recommend going with this hitch because the brackets will be much easier to install on your motorhome frame. Additionally, the Curt will provide you with the increased weight capacity you need (1,500 max tongue weight/15,000 pounds gross towing weight).
In order to make sure that the hitch fits your frame, I recommend measuring your frame from left to right. As long as the width is between 18" and 43.88" wide, you are good to go!
