We have a 2020 sunset trails travel trailer and the stabilizing jacks will extend but won’t retract. Battery is charge. Any ideas? Model # is LC298707

Expert Reply:
That your jack will extend but not retract leads me think that either something is bent or, there is damage to you motor. You may have over-extended and bent an arm on your Lippert High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack, # LC298707. Check the yellow arm on your jack and its associated components for damage. If you need to replace, we have the correct part in the Replacement Electric Stabilizer Jack Support Arm for Lippert RV Jack, # LC1134122.
I also suggest that you check electric motor and associated components for damage. Disconnect the mechanical linkage from the motor and perform a bench check. If your motor will turn each direction when not mechanically connected, this leads to having bent/damaged components. If your motor when not turn each direction, I suggest you use the Replacement Electric RV Stabilizer Jack Motor for Lippert Landing Gear, # LC352338.
