Question:

We have an Outdoors RV with an entry height of 36inch with the trailer on relatively level ground and the trailer looking level. My question is on what model to get. I see the range for the 4 step model is 35-44inch but Im worried about what to do if we are ever camping in a park that is on a slope that we back up which will cause the distance on the rear of our camper to be closer to the ground. How much flexibility is there in the steps to set up higher? Will that cause interference with the door? I want to be sure we are picking the correct model and not one that we will regret.

The SolidStep Manual Fold-Down Steps # LC791574 fit an entry height of 35" - 44". The legs on these steps have a small pin that will allow you to adjust the length of the legs. It fits 25" to 28-7/8" wide doorways so you'll want to measure the width of your trailer's doorway to ensure that it will actually be compatible.

To make sure your doors will close when the steps are installed, measure from the top of the threshold plate to the bottom of the door. You will need a gap of about 1/4" to 3/8" to allow the door to close over the step's mounting plate.
