Dear eTrailer, I have a 2021 Midwest Automotive Designs Passage 170 EXT Sprinter van that has a trailer hitch installed. I am getting ready to tow a 4x8 trailer on a trip. What ball mount and wiring system would you recommend for my Sprinter? Thank you!

For your 2021 Midwest Automotive Designs Passage 170 EXT Sprinter van I recommend the Tekonsha Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter - 7 Way Trailer Connector item # TK22115 if you are needing a 7-way connector. If you are only needing a 4-way connector to control lighting functions on your trailer you will want the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236.
To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
If you need a brake controller you will want the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller item # 90195. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer brakes in proportion to your Sprinter van's braking action.
