Question:
How the Curt Echo Controller knows when a trailer is connected? I am not able to have the green light when my trailer is connected.

The Curt Echo # C51180 will detect a power draw when you have it plugged into both your vehicle and trailer. It sounds like you have a solid blue light and are connected on your phone but the Echo never switches to solid green showing the trailer is connected and your device is paired.
This is typically caused by corrosion or debris on the connections. I would inspect the vehicle and trailer connections and clean as necessary. The other thing you can do is inspect your trailer wiring. Make sure nothing is damaged and also check your ground connections. Make sure they are secure on a clean, bare-metal surface.
If this does not fix the issue feel free to reach out and I will help you troubleshoot further.
