Benefits of Curt Echo Trailer Brake Controller Used On a 2022 Ford F-150 With Factory 7-Way

Question:
Regarding the Curt ECHO brake control -are there any real advantages to having one? We replaced, recently, our Nissan Frontier 6 cylinder since its weight limit was pretty much with the Trailer weighed. We replaced it with a2022 Ford F150 LXT with eco boost, 3.5 so we could haul our trailer without fear of burning up the transmission and actually go someplace. We had a breaking system put into the Nissan for the trailer. The F150 doesn't have anything in the cab but it is setup otherwise for hauling a trailer.

The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 is convenient in it can be used on virtually every vehicle that has a properly functioning 7-way blade trailer connection. As you control it with your smart phone there is no wiring needed inside the truck and you can set up to 5 different profiles for different trucks and trailers.
On your 2022 Ford F-150 you will need to ensure tow/haul mode activation and/or load detection on 7-way before the +12V output is activated on the 7-way connector. Activate tow mode and connect trailer before attempting Bluetooth connection to the Echo. The LED on the Echo must be on before you will be able to pair with your phone.
