Question:
Hi, I am assuming that whatever fits the 2013 Pathfinder would fit the new 2014 Pathfinder. That said I need advice as to which controller to purchase. My towing needs are infrequent and involve a dual axle landscape trailer which has a carrying capacity of over 5,000 lbs. The Pathfinder is maxd out at 5,000 lbs. In most cases, the heaviest load I would be carrying would be 4,000 lbs. I am looking at the Tekonsha TK 90160-3050-P as a basic unit that will do the job. Would you suggest otherwise? Many thanks.

The Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller, part # TK90160, is an excellent brake controller for use with trailers equipped with electric brakes on as many as three axles. This unit does provide many advanced features including automatic-leveling for the internal accelerometer, three boost levels to match braking power to your needs and a continuous self-check diagnostic function.
For occasional use this is a great choice. However, among all the controllers we offer, the long-term proven champ is the Tekonsha P2, part # 90885, which shares these same key features, is exceptionally reliable and easy to use. It also adds 4th axle capability and compatibility with electric-over-hydraulic trailer brakes. If your trailer uses EOH brakes then this is the controller to use. Otherwise the Primus IQ is a great choice.
The quick-connect brake control harness you referenced, part # 3050-P, is a confirmed correct fit for the 2014 model year Pathfinder.
