Published 05/22/2022 >
Question:
I have a 2016 Mazda Cx5 Model Grand Touring, I purchased a Curt 13315, but the holes did not line up. Every website I checked tells me the correct part number is 13315!!. I did more research and I found a youtube video of someone installing a Curt 13127 on a 2016 Mazda Cx5. Have you guys had this issue before?

Sorry to hear about your hitch! Yes, we have heard of this issue before. I went ahead and confirmed with Curt that the # C13315 definitely fits your 2016 Mazda CX-5.
The most likely explanation of this situation is that the hitch bent during transport. This can cause the bolt holes to potentially not line up when you try to install the hitch. There are multiple ways of bending the hitch back into shape via a vice, an open step, the floor, against a wall, or with a jack.
I went ahead and attached a helpful FAQ article that walks you through each of these methods.
