Will Dutton Lainson Winch with Auto Brake work with Pontoon Boat Hoist

Question:
I have a Shelby 2500 pound winch that will not lock in place for my pontoon boat hoist can I replace this winch with the Dutton DL 14958 to bring my pontoon boat up and down? Thanks
