Replacement Axle for 1989 Prowler Lynx 22H
Question:
I have a tandem axle 1989 Prowler Lynx 22H trailer that I need to find a replacement axle for. The spring center measurement is about 65-3/8, it looks like it has a 3 inch . The GVWR is 3500#. I believe it is a Hayes axle and it has 10 inch hub/drums. The axle looks like it is about 2-3/8inch diameter.

Based on the diameter of your axle and the other information you have given me it sounds like you need a 3,500 lb replacement axle. In order to choose the correct replacement you will need the hub face to hub face measurement. We have 89" and 95" replacement axles. As long as the hub face measurement matches up you can adjust the spring center by cutting off the existing spring seats and welding on # TRSS238.
If you are unable to find a replacement axle that matches you can use the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Straight Spindle - Regular Tires - 3,500 lbs # TASR35HDS04. This system will replace your current axle and suspension system and is a good alternative when the right axle length isn't available. The Timbren system fits any frame width and can bolt or weld on for installation.
I have attached a link to all of our 3,500 lb axles for your reference.
