Can I Use the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Add-On Kit for Triple Axle Trailers on a Single Axle Trailer?
Updated 05/11/2022 | Published 05/10/2022 >
Question:
Looking at the parts and install diagram, it really looks like this add-on kit could be installed on a single 3” axle, but I have read in other reviews that that is not possible. Can someone please explain? It looks like it would be simple to do, but maybe I’m missing something. I really want to install a shock kit on my 22’ Apex Nano but I do not have enough clearance between frame and tires to install the Lippert kit and am concerned about shock angle if I try to install the Lippert kit inboard if the frame. Thanks!

I spoke with my rep at Roadmaster and he said as long as you have a 3" axle then the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Add-On Kit for Triple Axle Trailers item # RM-2460-50 will fit your 22’ Apex Nano trailer as a single axle application. The upper brackets will mount on the trailer frame with included hardware and you will replace your existing u-bolts with tie plate extensions that the shocks will attach to.
