Can I Use The Factory Bumper Extension Or Do I Need The Mount-n-Lock Extension Plates 2018 Hideout?

Question:

I have a 2018 Keystone Hideout 308BHDS with a bumper already installed. I a removing this bumper and replacing with a Mount n Lock 4inch bumper. But looking at the frame, there is a tube extension between my frame and the bumper. Can I use this extension or do I need to remove it and use the Mount n Lock extension? See pic. For what its worth, the tube extension is thicker than the factory bumper. Thanks!

The extensions you have on your 2018 Keystone Hideout 308BHDS do appear to be enough to mount the Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haul'r RV Bumper Replacement Kit # MO94VR without needing the Extension Plates # MO24VR.

I would recommend having a gusset placed along the top of the factory extension to the frame for increased strength.
