Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haul'r Replacement RV Bumper

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Mount-n-Lock Heavy-Haul'r 92 inch long aluminum RV replacement bumper with a brushed finish. It has a 600 pound weight capacity. Now this complete bumper kit here will let you add a bumper or replace your stock RV bumper for extra durability and a higher weight rating. This is a nice heavy duty aluminum bumper. Gives you a higher weight rating so that you can safely haul your bikes or generator to the campsite.

It's also great for supporting any cargo carriers or other bumper mounted accessories. You can see we've pre-installed the mounting brackets on this. They do include 10 heavy duty brackets, five on each side, you can see right here. And this will reinforce the bumper to prevent heavy loads from damaging it. On the zoom in, you can see on this side there's the five mounting brackets.

It's less likely to lead to a bumper detachment than a stock bumper with the same weight. Now also, if you wanted to add a two-inch hitch to this bumper, we do sell a separate part number. It's MNT37FR. We listed it on this product page as a related product and basically I wanna pop up an insert, here you can see what that part looks like. But it is a two-inch hitch that'll clamp around the bumper and allow you to put anything that'll go into a two-inch hitch receiver on here.

Now the other nice feature on this bumper, it is hollow. It is a hollow compartment, and you can see on the end these vented end plates and allow you to store your wet smelly sewer hoses and fittings inside there. So if you just open this plate like that, you can put your hoses and fittings right in there. And we mentioned that they're vented. So what's nice about that, it allows fresh air to circulate, prevent moisture and mold buildup, and again just to access it and just slide the plate up or down.

Now this is a rustproof lightweight aluminum construction. This one has a nice brushed finish to it. The brushed finish will be nice and shiny and it'll hide any scratches but it does hold onto some dirt since it is a rough surface. They do also offer this bumper in a raw mill finish that will show scratches and discolorations. And we do also sell the same hitch or the same bumper in a glossy black powder coat mirror-like finish. And again, those are usually listed on the product page as a related product. Now this is a bolt-on installation. It'll bolt onto your RV's frame. Comes with the included hardware here. There is some drilling required. Comes with a nice set of instructions. Couple things I do wanna mention that if your RV frame is shorter than your RV's body, we do sell extension plates that'll help you install it. They're part number MO24VR. They are sold separately. Also, if your RV's body extends to the bottom of your frame, you might need the drop plates. That's part number MO84VR. And again, they're sold separately. Now this part is made in the USA. Specs the application this will fit I beam, S beam, tube and channel frames. Now if it's flange frames they must be at least four inches tall, three inches long. If they're non flange frames, they must be at least three inches tall by three inches long. Now we need mention the overall length on this bumper from this end all the way to that end. It's 92 inches long, and the width of it, it is a square so it is five and 5/16 inches wide, five and 5/16 inches tall. Maximum capacity, again is 600 pounds when it's evenly distributed on it.
