Question:
Hi- I have a 1985 Featherlite Aluminum enclosed car trailer with AL-KO torsion bar axles. The rear axle has electric brakes. The axle tag reads: AL-KO AXLE H52 4800LBS 297455 09014 BRAKE 5200LBS ELKHART IN 46514 The brake hub/drum reads MAX DIA 12.09 H.A. 90817 12 - 200 The right brake assembly broke the adjuster spring and the adjuster was mauled. Everything else is OK. Most likely the brake assemblies are original to the trailer, but the multi-fit bolt pattern on the backing plate makes me wonder if the brakes have been changed at some point. I have owned the trailer about 30 years. My first question is if you have springs to replace all the springs on both sides and the adjusters also. My second question is if the 185100 brake assembly would work and be correct on my axle. I would be interested in assemblies for left and right sides. I see the 185100-150 pair of brake assemblies for $300+, but the 185100 shows a price of about $125 on your website as a special. Thanks for any help you can provide.

From what I find on the number you listed, AXLE H52, it appears this is actually rated at a 5,200 lb. axle. We have available the Electric Trailer Brake Kit Left and Right Hand Assemblies for 5.2K to 7K, # AKEBRK-7-SA.
These self-adjusting brakes are 12" x 2" and fit 14.5" to 16.5" wheels. The mounting bolts and hardware # BRKH12 is sold separately
