Trouble Shooting an E r Error Code on the Primus IQ Brake Controller

Question:
When my brake controller is plugged in and my trailer is hooked up, I get an “E.r” message on the display. How can I resolve this? 2004 Ford F-350

Thanks for the picture! Sorry to tell you but the E r code on your Primus IQ Brake Controller item # TK90160 means that it needs to be replaced. There is an internal error on the inside of the brake controller that cannot be fixed. The good news is that the wiring harness for the Primus can be used on the other Tekonsha Brake Controllers like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 item # 90885 or the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 item # 90195.
