The Curt Echo # C51180 requires Apple 8.0 or newer or Android 4.4 and newer to download and run the Curt Echo app on your smartphone. Your iPhone 6s would have came with 9.0 and can be updated to 15.4 so you will be able to use this trailer brake controller.
